Phoenix Optical Technologies Ltd is well known as a fast growing, forward thinking precision optics manufacturing company based at the heart of the UK optical manufacturing community in St. Asaph, North Wales, UK
Phoenix started out in 1990 with the introduction of two optics moulding furnaces from what was Chance Pilkingtons in St Asaph. As business grew, it became apparent that our customers would benefit from being offered other precision optics processing such as profiling and polishing. Tony Palframan's (MD) drive to succeed in a cut throat market saw the introduction of new machines and processes to make up what is today, a 55 employee strong work force working out of a splendid purpose built factory within the largest optics cluster in the UK.
With continued dedication to new technologies and constant investment in providing employees with new skills along with a very successful apprenticeship scheme, Phoenix has become a name recognised for supplying precision optics globally.
Phoenix has Agents in position to provide local geographical service and support to customers. Currently, N. America, Canada, Europe and Israel have access to partner companies who have the knowledge and expertise to deliver precision optics with a first class service and support to valued customers.
As part of the Phoenix Optical Technology Limited Group, Phoenix Optical Glass delivers raw glass, Infrared Optics and cut discs in 24 hours. Supported by 120 tonnes of on-site glass stock, available for immediate dispatch from receipt of order, the in-house system is dedicated to supplying cut discs and optics mouldings delivered just-in-time for customer processing.
Phoenix Diamond Turning has continued to go from strength to strength and now boasts the largest independent Single Point Diamond Turning facility in Europe.
As part of the Phoenix Optical Technologies group, Phoenix Diamond Turning is housed in its own dedicated building at the heart of the photonics cluster in St Asaph, North Wales alongside the Phoenix Precision Polishing Lakeside building.
We currently have six state of the art Diamond Turning machines including three freeform capability machines and a dedicated high-speed machine for machining high precision polymer optics.
Phoenix continues to supply Infrared Optics, Polymer and Metal optics to all sections of the industry and has built a reputation for excellent customer support, whilst offering fast delivery turnaround and maintaining high quality standards.
